Buhari Appreciates Military Corporation With Islamic Republic Of Pakistan


The government of President Mohammadu Buhari has said that it appreciates the military corporation between Nigeria and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in a bid to enhance Nigeria' s capacity to secure its territorial integrity.

Buhari made these remarks on Friday when the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Islamic Republic led by General Nadeem Raza paid him a courtesy visit at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, he said that Pakistan has remained very consistent in helping Nigeria build its military capability by way of training of troops.

This was contained in a communiqué issued by Femi Adesina, President Buhari' s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, while appreciating the Pakistanis, Buhari said some of his colleagues trained in Pakistan and the Islamic Republic have continued to help Nigeria, and for that " We are grateful" Buhari added.

The statement reads; " The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has remained faithful and consistent in assisting Nigeria, particularly in the training of members of the armed forces, President Muhammadu Buhari has said.


The President spoke Friday at State House, Abuja, while receiving General Nadeem Raza, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Islamic Republic.



" We greatly appreciate your help in terms of training members of our armed forces, officers and men. Some of my colleagues trained in your country, and you have remained consistent in assisting us. We benefit a lot from Pakistani, and we are grateful. "


In his response, General Nadeem Raza said that Nigeria is the most important country in Africa and therefore the Islamic Republic will continue to collaborate with Nigeria because they also learn a lot from the giant of Africa.



He said, " and we value our collaboration. We learn and benefit a lot from each other. "


Some parts of Pakistan are also suffering from Islamic insurgents attacks just like Nigeria, Pakistani Taliban have been conducting operations in the mountainous regions of the country and their experience can come in handy for Nigeria.
